Rugby star Moody lends support to hot new product

A new thermal support harnesses the power of body heat in order to aid recovery and provide pain relief. Former England rugby captain Lewis Moody has endorsed the product – Fireactiv – saying it improves flexibility and reduces stiffness in his knee.

Fireactiv is a secure joint and muscle support which comes with deep-heat generating pads, and has been designed for seven different parts of the body – the neck, back, shoulder, wrist, elbow, knee and ankle.

The product works by a natural process called long-wave infrared radiation, in which special bio-ceramic heat reflective particles are fused into the fibres of the heat pads which, when placed on the skin, radiate heat back into the body. This has the effect of dilating the blood vessels which in turn increases blood and oxygen circulation in the localised area. Only natural heat is used so no batteries, wires or microwaving are required.

The Fireactiv supports can also be used as an aid to back pain, joint pain, sprains, stiff muscles, injuries to deep tissue, arthritis, rheumatism and tendonitis.

There are two separate heat pads which offer either an intense deep heat for fast pain relief or a more subtle heat that is designed to work over longer periods of time.
